TOKYO — Eastern High Minister Fumio Kishida on Thursday encouraged more funding in Japan’s chip industry as he met with executives from seven fundamental semiconductor firms from South Korea, Taiwan, the U.S. and Europe.
The assembly on the prime minister’s office in Tokyo fervent Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Chairman Label Liu, Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger and Micron Technologies CEO Sanjay Mehrotra, as well to executives from Samsung Electronics, IBM, Utilized Materials and Belgian research crew IMEC.
